Highlighting of save slots

    For making menus, I’ve been following the excellent tutorial by Glenfx.

    Everything described in the tutorial works fine in version 4.1, even though it’s written for 3.1. There is just one thing that isn’t 100 percent OK. It also happens in the downloadable version of Glenfx’s demo game: When you select a save slot to save to, you can highlight ANY of the slots, but it always saves to the last empty slot (or overwrite a previous one if you highlight one of the already occupied slots.) In other words, if you have made two saves, highlight slot #6, and click “save”, it saves to slot #3. It would be nice if only slot #3, and the previous ones, would be possible to highlight. Or alternatively, that all slots could be saved to, regardless of their order.

    I might be asking too much, but is there possibly an easy way to fix this?

    Nope. It's not a bug. It's because save slots are infinite (well there's probably a limit, but...) & thus you could potentially scroll forever through the slots. It saves into the first available slot. The objects you define for highlighting the slot positions has nothing to do with the slots themselves.
