Fonts not showing in preview

Hi guys! First time posting. This is a newbie problem for sure, still any help is much appreciated.
I am having problems with the fonts when creating my first game. The problem is: When uploading a .ttf file the font will not display in the preview window below the settings. (I have tried several font files, all downloaded from dafont.com)

I followed this tutorial when I launched the program for the first time:
Visionaire Studio Basics - Video 1 - Creating a scene from scratch

I have also seen this tutorial to see if there was anyting I was missing:
Visionaire Studio Tutorial - Bitmap and Vector Fonts
I also tried the actual font from this video.

I am running Visionaire 5.09 on macOS Mojave v. 10.14.3

Any tips to point me in the right direction would be awesome!

    Regards
    Kristian

I had to admit i don´t use a TTF font, but i tested it quickly and had no issue at all.
May we go for sure the font is not the problem..

    i tested this one (random)

and the result looks like in the Image.

Is this font working for you , too?

Hi, and thank you for checking this out. No, still no luck. Mamby it is something wrong with the process I use? The first file I created I did while watching the first mentioned tutorial. When I noticed that the text dident show up in the preview area or when I hit "Save and Run" in the game wher I should expect it to (The cursor disapers for a couple of seconds, but no text displays) I tried to create new files. I have tried to create both with the "Creat new" and the "Creat new with minmal.." After pressing "Creat new" I go straight to the Font tab, create a font, naming it, and checking off "True Font FIle" I then load A .ttf file I have downloaded. And.. No preview.

Any other properties that should be checked out?

BTW I will be off-line until sunday.

Possibly a mac editor related bug. Anyone else with a mac/similar specs to confirm this?

all files you use in your project need to be in the root folder or sub folders that are located inside of the root folder where your ved file is located.
