Dialogue Area ignored

    Hello!
I am fairly new to Visionaire Studio 5, but with the help of this Forum, the Wiki, and the two available tutorial series on Youtube I figured most of it out.

However, I stumbled over a problem which I could not solve with the resources mentioned above.
When setting up a dialogue, I also set up the dialogue area for the controllable character. The dialogue-options recognizes changes of the dialogue area on the y-axes, but not on the x. Meaning, if I move the text-field a little bit more into the scene (x-axes) the dialogue sticks to the left side of the screen. (It simply becomes unclickable.)
It wouldn't pose too much of a problem, if there would be at least one or two pixels between text and the immediate end of the screen. But since that isn’t the case, it looks really ugly and unintentional.

In both the YT tutorials and template games on the Visionaire Website, this does not appear to be a problem. And since there are so few configurations (without diverting to Lua) I am a bit at a loss.

    Any help is appreciated.
(Answers in german are also possible smile )

I believe it is probably a bug introduced with the recent update that introduced the option to align the dialog options. There's a bug with that too at the minute because no matter which alignment you specify the interaction polygon for the text remains where it would be if the text was left aligned. Hopefully it should be fixed in the next update - whenever that will be.

I am facing the same problem and am now absolutely desperate.
I mean, how can I even use Visionaire now? So what should I do? An adventure game without dialogue?
Because there's no question that it's completely out of the question that the dialogues are stuck to the edge of the screen...

If I can't find a solution, I can just shut down my project until the manufacturer has fixed the bug in the software, there doesn't seem to be any other option. And who knows when that will be roll

This worked for me- In the game properties tab, find the Behavior column, and 'Dialog option alignment'. make sure 'Left' is selected from the dropdown menu.

    And what's the point?
So of course you can set whether you want the text in the dialogue box to be aligned or centred, but how is that supposed to solve the problem?

The problem is that the dragged dialogue ares are ignored by Visionaire and you can't move the dialogues on the x-axis. Or am I missing something?

Like we said before: there is a bug in the option for the alignment of the dialog texts. These alignment options were introduced in the last update, the bug hasn't been fixed yet.
This bug seems to cause the problem with the textbox not affecting the position of the text correctly if the aligment is set to anything other than "left".

The dialog choices were always left-aligned in the previous versions of Visionaire. If you keep the alignment set to "left" (game properties/bahaviour) then all is working as it should.
