Hi guys,
Does anyone knows the best 3d character format and its export settings for Visionaire? I'm using 3ds max for 3d development. I export 3d characters as .X format with many export combinations but results are very bad, character animates but just see some frames or doesn't animate and model deforms or no textures. I exported as collada and its looks ok with textures and animations but its just see 15 frames of it and I cant edit the frame length in Visionaire.
If anyone has a clue or a knowledge about 3d characters in Visionaire please share mates.

I've tried Make Human to Blender and the model is always flipped, anything over 4 meg crashes.swapping the up axis makes no difference but it does exporting it into something else C4D.. no luck at all even static meshes seem to end up with the shadow in the wrong place and to me it appears to have issues with were the point of origin should be

Ye I've also checked my models in different 3d apps and in all, models worked fine with animations etc... . Maybe there are some bugs in Visionaire for 3d characters? Or we still dont know what should be the exact 3d formats and their export settings before we take them in Visionaire.

Hey Nigec,
Finally I had some luck. What I made is export as direct-x file from max with sure animations and the combination of the export settings finally have matched with visionire settings. Now I'll do more tests with different animations. Idle status of character works now!

Hi Alex, ovv that assimp viewer is totally a nightmare mate. Model showing ok there doesnt work in Visionaire and models doesnt look good in assimp working in visionaire

only complaining that something does not work is not really helpful.
First its important that the 3d model works in assimp viewer - if it doesn't work in the viewer there is probably no chance it will work in Visionaire (because we depend on the assimp library). Since it seems to work in the viewer for AkcayKaraazmak and Nigec the model should be fine. Could you upload the model (and a description how you created it - tools etc.) so we can have a look at it? either post it here or send me a PM with a link.
The other problem is that 3d support was implemented as part of a University project by Daniel who is not a team member. Anyway, I hope we'll find a solution for these issues.

@BigStans, mate you meant next version for visionaire?
Hey Alex sure I'll send you the model so you can check it out. Just wanna try 1 more thing. After modelling, I merged model parts, hands, head, boots n head as a one mesh. And in Visionaire sometimes it works sometimes no. Then I split some parts from the mesh like, boots hands and head and then export .X as multi mesh then it worked much better in Visionaire but not %100. It still shuts down the program after clicked run but not as much as before. So now I will split all the rest of the parts; eyes and some small pieces that I've attached and then export .X and give a try in Visionaire and let you guys know.
