Don't think it really matters what language the screenshots are in? The thing to point out is that the screenshots are of an early 3.x version of the Visioniare Studio editor.

@Marvel: the new page number thing on the fixed header bar when scrolling down in posts is nice, but it doesn't seem to contain any limitations to the amount of pages it links... should be able to do something like 1,2 ... 14, 15 if there's over x amount of pages. Speaking of pages, maybe you could consider increasing the amount of posts per page a bit to decrease the amount of pages that are getting generated as the post per page amount is way too low at the minute. I think somewhere between 15 & 20 posts per page should be sufficient enough to decrease the amount of generated pages.

Now, in regards to the ads... I personally can't see them because I'm using an adblock plugin, but I temporarily disabled it to see what they looked like. Personally I don't think they look too messy, but they are an unwelcome eyesore. Quick question: do you actually make any money from them? I ask this because I displayed ads underneath the last post in each thread on my old music production forum. I actually made the ad look like it was being posted by a member though so it didn't jar with my forum design. Anyway, back to the point... in about 4 years I made from google adsense roughly $2 & of course they wouldn't actually give me that as you needed to have at least $50 in their digital bank thing before they would allow you to cash it out. So for me ads are about as much use as a dead donkey!

& now back to language column on the forum board. If you really are unwilling to remove language based posting from the website then consider at least replacing the flag icons with text instead. Maybe the full name of the language or the 2 letter abbreviation - maybe even in the square thing like you've done on the menu. US flag does not equal English. English language is from England or United Kingdom / Great Britain, so the UK flag would be more appropriate or even the actual England white flag with red cross, but even that would still be innapropriate on account of multiple countries speaking English, which the same can be said for Spanish, Portuguese & French speakers amongst other languages.

Some things on the IE11 front seem to of improved, the forum now appears to stay English.

    edit:

When you click Save it tries to save a json script, if you close the page it has actually saved

@Nige: Why you using IE? I think the last time I used that was up until a little after the release of firefox. I switched over to firefox without hestitation. I've tried Chrome a few times & some of the other browsers, but I didn't really care for them much.

Web design these days is a right pain with all the different web programming languages & all the different browsers & devices you need to create fallback code & css fallback for. I really can't be bothered trying to please everyone, so I tend to stick with your basic html, css & the occasional bit of jquery & php if I really need it to do something I can't do with html & css on its own.

And my username was changed into my real name.

...oh I'm esmeralda-1 now. I guess because there was already an Esmeralda (=me)

    Same here.

Profile was displaying my real name, although I never gave permission. Not nice.

Changed it to "Einzelkämpfer" (which is different from my username on the "old" site, which was "einzelkaempfer"). Anyway: now I have become "einzelkaempfer-1". Not nice.

I am still not a big fan of the Visionaire forum software. I remember the old days: it may be old-fashioned, but the usability was much better: http://oldforum.visionaire2d.net/

We are sorry for mistakes or bugs, but unfortunately mistakes can always happen.

The problems with usernames are fixed now. smile

but the usability was much better
The old forum was just a forum without social network functios. There were no modern user profiles, no responsive display, no download center, no videos possible, no picture upload, et cetera. I can't see that the old forum was better in any way... wink Regarding the "usability" I just can say that it is maybe a subjective thing. What makes it better from your point of view?

I for myself enjoy big font-sizes and a clear layout. And I already said that the categories will come.

@einzelkaempfer: phpBB mate. One of the things I like about using existing forum cms is that they usually already have all - or at least almost all - the forum features you will ever need. Personally I used to use SMF (simple machines) for forums on my own websites because the basic edition was often more than enough for most people & for those that wanted some additional features there is access to modules (both free & paid) created by third parties.

My profile page is also displaying my real name. Most people on here probably know it by now anyway, but I can see the issue from a security risk perspective for those that prefer to keep their private details private.

@Nige: Ah right you are then. Does anyone still use Internet Explorer in this day & age as their primary browser?
