Writing text effect

Hey, I was asked about having the speech text appear like it was being written, so I thought about using <p1> while building the words and it worked as expected but then I was asked about how to make it appear faster and there's the problem.

How can I tell the pause to last half a second or in milliseconds instead of seconds?
Or in any case, how can I properly make a text appear like it's being written? (one letter at a time)

A tag like <p500ms> also works and you freely change the time in milliseconds.
