Font Issues
02/04/, 15:00I have searched the threads concerning fonts and do not find much useful info for beginners of Visionaire. First of all the Font Template Files will not download properly no matter what I try to do. I have utilized every avenue I can think of and text will simply not display in game.
My biggest issue with Visionaire to date is the font system. Visionaire seems to be laid out quite similar to the Quest text adventure editor but with some more advanced functions. The thing I don't get is why all the hassle with fonts? Every editor I have ever used utilizes the font system already created and used by all comps (you know like the list of font options in WORD) and you can add what ever fonts you want to this list. There is no need to have to draw and fuss with this just to create different fonts within a game.
I really want to expand my story/game beyond the limitations of a Text Adventure and would like some help getting past some of these initial hurdles. The tutorial would be fine except that text wise it is very vague and the visual part of it does not display (at least not on my comp and I have reloaded QuickTime which did not work either).
Like the idea of your system but so far very frustrated with its lack of continuity.

You have to remember to also add the character set in the text box below the image

I have tried to open that file several times in Inkscape and it will not open. I don't know if it opens in Paint or another program because I always use Inkscape for art projects. Am I doing something wrong or missing something? There is only one link on that page.

Also, how do I upload a pic to my profile? Clicking on the pic box or the little pencil there does nothing.

02/05/, 16:59what will work in Inkscape? I don't have PS but I can convert it to something else that supports layers and text.
