Problem with Savegames

12/29/2011, 10:39
Some time ago I paid 35€ for Visionaire. Ok. The only tutorial is http://www2.visionaire2d.net/glenfx/, and is VERY useful, but limited, not explain more things of visionaire. Dont exists a complete MANUAL or more tutorials? I have a serious problem, i cant save the game in my project, nobody helps me, support is limited to forum, no manual... roll

Hi Rockstar,
there are some tutorials and helpful drafts... but there seem to be a problem in the english website (marketplace). We have a look and fix it.

Thanks for you reply Marvel. smile

I am doing all the steps of the tutorial by glenfx (the part of the menus) but later, testing the game, the menu works, the "return game" button works fine, but the "save" button dont works... simply dont do anything, there is any mistake in the tutorial? Is for visonaire old version (3.2) ? Visioanire 3.6 save games works different? roll

Can you post here any of the other tutorials?

Thanks!

Well, please post some screenshots of your current settings and the actions, that you combined with your save-button wink

I had some issues with the save button. It was nothing to do with Visioniare tho, it was to do with my Windows Administrator Privileges. The firewall was blocking the engine from saving any info.
Running the program 'As Administrator' got rid of the issue...

the issue is not the firewall but UAC. I've posted a description of this in the other thread about the savegame problem.

@RockStar: sorry that there is not enough support for you. If we would answer every question here we would not have time left to do anything else (since we are not a company and are only working on Visionaire in our spare time) so the main idea is that users help each other in the forum. I guess there are currently many users on vacation during Christmas time.

UAC is a total PITA, first thing I did with Vista was turn it off

If I remember right Glen's tut is abit vague with the saved games and I would double check if the UAC advice doesn't work, just focus on one slot, I didn't get it working first time and just recently but I can't recall what I was doing wrong

Ive tryed playing the game launching it in administrator, disabling the Comodo Firewall... nothing. The tutorial is right? I dont understand... Im Spanish and could be i understand something wrong in the tutorial... i noticed that in the tutorial, in the part :

" Now we are going to create 6 new objects called POSITION_(number) " Glenfx dont create the "action areas" (like Position_ON _1, Position _ON_2, etc..) If we dont create this action areas, later in the game when you click in the squares, dont appears the image border of the first box area... but this dont fix the error, the savegame button dont do anything..

The demo has menu to see it?
Can someone tell me step by step how to create a savegame button? roll Whit one position...thanks a lot!!!

try this:
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/26539256/save.zip
I did it really quickly so its a bit basic, but it should point you in the right direction, just one slot
