Objects disappear from scene?

I am running Visionaire Studio v3.3 on Windows 7 64-bit and I am experiencing a strange issue.

This is the first time I have used Visionaire Studio, so please feel free to stop me if this is some sort of "feature", but whenever I add an object to a scene (Let's say a red ball)... If I click off the ball in the object list (on the left) the ball disappears. It's not until I click back on the ball in the list, and then click the "Place Image" button or "Set Object Points" button that the ball will re-appear in the scene.

Another issue I am having is the following. Once an object has been placed on a scene, and vertices have been defined for its "active" area. If that object is then moved, can the vertices for that object move with it? At the minute, they stay where they were, so you have to delete them and do them all over again. This isn't bad for simple objects, but for complex shapes it's a nightmare.

Cheers

Sure, no problem. Feel free to ask... smile

1. Is there is an area at bottom of the screen called "Preview"? (Have to take a look to the english version of the studio). Maybe this can help to change the visibility of objects.

2. You can Move the area of an object while pressing the shift key

Thanks for the swift response!
I am not at home at the minute, but I will be sure to let you know if your suggestions help when I get back smile

Hi again Marvel,

Okay, I checked out your two solutions.

1. There is an area called "Preview" if I click on the object in the list. This lets me toggle the object visibility yes. But if I leave the Scene View and go to another section of the editor, for example the Character section, and then come back to the Scene View the items will have disappeared again until I click on them. Sometimes they disappear when I click on other items in the same scene too.

See my attached screenshot. First shows the object when it is selected, second shows when i have left the scene view and then came back into it.

2. CTRL + Drag works (Not shift), thanks! smile

yeah, maybe we should change this behaviour. I think it makes more sense to display each object/sprite - and when you don't want to see it you can change it. We will talk about it... smile

Yes, it should definitely be changed smile
I can't really think of any time when you wouldn't want to see all of the objects in a scene.

I was really confused when the objects kept disappearing razz

Well, there are situations - for example when you work with objects in the foreground via parallaxwink Then you might not see any of the object in the background

Ahh yeah, I guess. But realistically, I would say that it is far more user-friendly to show objects and then give the user the option to turn visibility off if they really need it.

I would love a toggle button (Show All Objects/Hide All Objects) that defaulted to showing all objects.
