Incorrect scene rendering after waking the computer up from hibernation

10/03/2011, 19:59
Whenever I hibernate my machine with Visionaire working and then wake it up from hibernation, Visionaire has problems with scene rendering, both in the editor and in the player. Please see the attached image.

After I restart Visionaire it works properly.

My machine is Acer Aspire 4720z running Windows XP SP3.
Video card is Mobile Intel(R) 965 Express Chipset Family.
Visionaire version is 3.6, build 1137.

Intel is a really bad chip, I have loads of problems with various software in DirectX and OpenGL views, my Toshiba laptop is a nightmare.
I can't recall which chip mine has but the drivers date back to 2009 and nothing newer, the software I beta test uses a newer version of OpenGL the Intel has problems rendering none power of two textures in openGL views, Google Sketchup flashes between shaded and unshaded if shadows are used
I've not seen the above but mine doesn't hibernate or sleep, its role in life is a render node (no battery and hardwired)

My main PC is NVidia and I can't say I've seen it do the same, but that shuts down the monitor it doesn't sleep either

Well, it was a video driver issue. I installed the latest video driver from Intel, and the problem is gone.
